I hate "Heart" for two reasons: because I hate Madison, who is Sam's love interest in this episode, and I hate the way Supernatural did werewolves, showcased especially in this episode. See, for the second one, in order to save money, SPN has all of their monsters remain humanoid---for instance, when there's a phoenix in S6, it is not a bird, but a human. In this case, werewolves don't wolf out---they just grow their nails into claws and get sharpened teeth, and it just looks super lame and BLECH. There's been a werewolf episode in S8 ("Bitten") which is MUCH better, because they leave most of the actual transformation off-screen, and thus I don't get dragged out of the story because of the special effects lameness. And, yeah. I just really, really don't like Madison. Ugh. Plus, and even though this sounds kind of contradictory, but I don't like how she's NOT MENTIONED AGAIN, even though Sam was really into her and and upset when he had to kill her and everything. No mention at all, EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS A PERFECT OPPORTUNITY TO DO SO IN "BITTEN". Why the hell can we keep mentioning Amy, but not Madison? *headdesk*
(I know that I'm probably talking about a lot of things that make no sense to you, so I'm sorry for that, but if you want clarifcation, I'll do my best.)
I hate "Metamorphosis" for three reasons: 1) it's just a really gross episode, 2) I don't appreciate extremely heavy anvils being dropped on my head (especially when said anvil, that Sam could be going darkside, are OLD NEWS BY NOW, since these anvils have been dropped consistently SINCE SEASON 1, WE GET IT BY NOW, DAMN IT, WE'RE IN FUCKING SEASON 4), and 3) I don't like how it all goes down, especially since we're reusing old plots for this episode (over-zealous hunter, check. Sam understands the anvil-drop, and gets emo about how he can't save himself from going dark, check. Dean and Sam blow up at each other, and Sam abandons Dean, check. GOD CAN WE PLEASE STOP THIS ALREADY). It doesn't help this episode that it's surrounded by ones that are so much better than it ("Lazarus Rising", "Are You There, God?", and "In the Beginning" preceded it, and then it's followed by "Monster Movie", "Yellow Fever", and "It's the Great Pumpkin").
I hate "Caged Heat" so much because it really gave rise to my least favorite pairing of all time, Meg/Castiel, not to mention having to team up with Meg, and then Cas is dicking around with the Winchesters, and there's just a lot of betrayal going on, and I really don't like betrayal and all that, okay? ;)
